Sound mats are a great support for reading and writing, but there’s nothing more frustrating than watching your child look at a sound mat for 10 minutes searching for ‘a’. There’s certainly no advantage to you just finding it for them in frustration.

Games are a fun way to help your child or children become familiar with the layout of the mat as well as encouraging their speed recognition of letters to read.

Here are some fast, simple and most importantly FUN games you can play using sound mats.
