VERSION 1: Egg Hunt
You will need:
- A set of FREE printable eggs (one colour per player)
- Scissors
- Coloured pens
- Split pins
- White card
- A printer – check out this sponsored review for a fab printer on RainyDayMum.co.uk (this range will be my next printer purchase).
- A prize (a toy, book, Easter egg, anything!)

How to set up your Easter Egg Hunt

- Plan out where you will be hiding each of your clues.
- Download your FREE egg sets – one design per player. 3 players? Print 3 designs. You can use your printer’s settings to print as many to a page as you would like. Bigger print outs might be more user friendly for younger children or someone with a vision loss.
- Print them out on to card.
- Cut them out.
- Push a split pin in where the black dot shows you.
- Write 1 clue per egg.
- Close the eggs up to hide the clues.
- Hide your eggs around your house or garden (the placement and order of this is important). Keep the first clue with you.
- Hide your prize/prizes.
How To Complete Your Following CLues Challenge

- Tell your players which egg design they are looking for.
- On “Ready, steady, go!” they read their first clue and help them find the location of the next clue, then the next, etc. The final clue will reveal the location of the prize.
- Everyone’s a winner!
VERSION 2: CARD HUNT
If you haven’t got the time, resources or patience to cut out all these eggs, try out this second version. My daughter did this challenge when she was 4 and loved it so much that she attempted to write her own clues to set up her own hunt too. Love a little inspiration and motivation!
You will need:
- White card or parcel tags
- Coloured pens
